Please find attached our race dates for the 2026-27 racing calendar. We race 56 times in the season with predominately Wednesday Night meetings. Our feature meetings are of course the Gold Crown Carnival 17-27th March 2027 and Shirley Turnbull Night on Boxing Night.

Gold Crown Carnival

The Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival is a feature of the harness racing calendar – held annually in late March. It features SIX race meetings & many social events such as Ladies Day, Calcutta and Honouree Dinner. The highlight on the track are the two- and three-year-old finals on the last Saturday night of March, offering $A150 000.00 and $A 100 000 respectively in prize-money.

About Bathurst Harness Racing Club

Bathurst Harness Racing Club is one of Australia’s most successful provincial race clubs in the country, located within the Central West of NSW. The club house and race track is situated at the bottom of the famous Mount Panorama, with stunning views overlooking the Bathurst plains and hills.

The racetrack is 1064m, with a club house designed for action packed race nights and multiple function areas.
The stabling facilities are capable of holding 113 horses during race nights. Bathurst Harness Racing Club, alongside Harness Racing NSW, opened an onsite training complex, designed to hold up to 72 horses. Facilities include access to the racetrack, jog track, sheltered stables with yards, tack rooms and more!
The club conducts 58 race meetings a year, primarily on a Wednesday or a Friday night. The club’s major event is the annual Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival, held in late March each year.

In March 2027, Bathurst Harness Racing Club once again proudly presents one of the great celebrations of harness racing, Gold Crown Carnival Week.

For 10 days, Bathurst attracts the attention of racing enthusiasts in Australia, New Zealand, and around the world, bringing together five high profile title races, evenings filled with dinners, and events celebrating the sport, its competitors, and fans, as well as historical tours and other exciting events. Before you come, make sure to explore the long list of fun filled activities to get ready to have an unforgettable experience immersed in the tradition of horse harness racing.
